“Another Rock N Roll Show” Single  Review

Another Rock N Roll Show was awesome! It was super classic pop punk and classic rock mixed together. Made me think of bands like Cheap Trick. Love the feel of this and the inspiration behind it.

James Stevenson (Gene Loves Jezebel) - "Puzzled Heart" is a great song!
Paul Guerin (London Quireboys) "Puzzled Heart" Is an amazing song. One I wish I would've written"
Alex Kane (Enuff Z' Nuff) "No Saints In The City is an amazing power pop song"

Jace Media Single Reviews Ghosts Of Sunset - Miles In Between - Single Review - bjfmedia
Review By Darren McIntyre

Ghosts Of Sunset are a project of singer / songwriter John Merchant from Western Michigan now of Alaska and Todd Long who is a singer / songwriter and multi instrumentalist. The guys wanted to do a project about 80's style rock / hair metal and drafted some of the biggest names around. The outcome is an EP in the offing sometime this year, before that though the band release Miles In Between which I will be reviewing for you today.

Miles In Between - Power chorded guitar intro with awesome chords that are crisp and on point, snare drums punches are coming through and these have a cool cymbal snap that completes the percussion section and drives it forward. Vocals are a real smooth rocking cool vibe that have a certain swagger about them, bass chords are delivering a real funky meaty bass groove that works well with the arrangement as it holds the rhythm section tightly and delivers a real cool rhythm that fits the whole composition well. Guitars are going about their business and come in with awesome chords with a a really cool shredding riff with a pick up and a smooth hook that works perfectly with the lyrical content that is laid out before us, classic 80's style grooves with a real awesome vocal to take us home.
Ghosts Of Sunset  -
John Merchant  -  Vocals / Guitar
Johnny Monaco  -  Lead Guitar
Todd Long  -  Bass / Harmony Vocals
Brian Roth  -  Keys
Kent Slucher  -  Drums

Ghosts Of Sunset - Never Goodbye - Single Review - bjfmedia
Review By Darren McIntyre
Ghosts Of Sunset are a project of singer / songwriter John Merchant from Western Michigan now of Alaska and Todd Long who is a singer / songwriter and multi instrumentalist. The guys wanted to do a project about 80's style rock / hair metal and drafted some of the biggest names around. The guys have brought in the likes of Traci Guns, Bruno Ravel, Adam Hamilton, Brian Roth & Patrick Kennison to name but a few. The outcome will be an EP sometime in the future. The guys release Never Goodbye which I will be reviewing for you today, so please sit back as I walk us through this new offering.

Never Goodbye - Solid punchy snare drum comes in and has a bass drum kick for company, vocals are upon us and they have an air of blues rock vibe about them as the track comes at us with a real cool deep rocking kick. We have a cool riffed chord that is clean and crisp and allows the track to open up and spread it's wings to soar high with a nice rhythm to it. Bass chords are delivering a deep mellow bluesy groove that just works wonders with the arrangement. Solo is upon us and has a nice riff with a pick up that delivers real deep rasping chords that just work with this composition that make it stand out and sing so well.
